    A crumbly mess--HELP!!!

The soap turned out just beautiful... it is such a shame it didn't work out, but maybe after it sits longer it will be usable. You mentioned guessing on the coconut oil, what did you mean by that (weight, ounces, type of oil)? I haven't used fragrance oils, but I know they can cause problems...

    What do you wear?

I wear white lined gloves (for allergies). They don't leave your hands smelling like the yellow ones do. I also wear protective glasses (sometimes over reading glasses).

    Essential oils smelling different

I just received bergamot oil and it smells different (stinky) then the bottle I currently have (which is almost empty). I love the original one which was from a company that is no longer available, but do not care for the new one. I purchased both of them from stores on Ebay. I have been...

who has the best of these EO's?

SallySteele, I wondered about the YlangYlang variety also. There are a number of eo's that have quite a few blends. How do you know which one if best without buying everyone of them?

Are the individuals using the organic soaps concerned that the ingredients that are not organic can harm them in some way (ie: cancer), or is it for envionmental purposes (such as organic palm oil).

    Soap Scum

I have ceramic tile and it does get soap scum, but not much more then before. I know I will not go back to a store product only to wash and then get out of the shower and add lotion everyday (since the store product strips the oil from your skin). With my handmade soap I don't have to add...

    $1500 for insurance?

Thanks your responses. I am in the US so I will look into the Soap Makers Guild. I also contacted RLI (someone mentioned them on the forum in another post) and they do have a plan around $200, if you do not plan on selling more then $5000 in sales. Which for now I think would do fine. But I...
