Soap balls are really simple to make, after you cut your fresh soap just take the ends or messed up/funny looking pieces and smoosh them up in your hands. The soap is still pretty soft so you can mold the balls really easily. .. if you are working with older soap just shred the soap and soak in a very small amount of water. I mean like a tsp per lb of soap. That should be just enough to be able to form it into balls.

You can make them ahead of time and store them for later use , as well.

Soap balls are very easy to make from HP soap as well. If you need soap balls right away, you cann cook up a batch of HP soap, divide it up after the cook, add colors and then roll it up into balls and let them dry overnight before adding them to your CP soap. You just need a basic tutorial for HP soap, which you can find in this forum. After you cook the soap, it will have the consistancy of thick oatmeal. You can easily work your colors into the HP soap, but it will have more of a "stoneage" look than a smooth-blended look like CP.
