Sorry but yes, way too much soft oil. This is a fabulous website for newbies: http://www.millersoap.com/ There are a lot of great recipes there as well. You might consider rebatching your soap. Do a search on rebath methods here on SMF. There are some great tuts.

I've {heard} that the tussah silk is better. In fact I have even been told that the liquid will do nothing for soap but I find that hard to believe or so many supplies wouldn't be selling it for soap. Anyway, I have the liquid on hand. So that's why I was wanting to know. I have a fabulous...

Not at all. I agree with you. But I did like the packaging ideas, it hit me just as I was starting my Egyptian line and she had some Egyptian packaging idea :)

Does anyone have this book. It's about making handmilled soap, but she uses store bought castille soap. So I'm thinking I should have no problem using my own castille soap right? Wrong! The amt. of liquid she uses is wild. For example, one recipe calls for 2 cups of grated soap and 1/2 c...

Remember too, if you are putting honey or milk in your soap it will heat up quick and hotter. Good luck...can't wait to see it.
