My own personal favorite to use is my 100% coconut, 15% superfat soap with coconut lime FO. Love that stuff!

I used to gel, and then I found that my fragrances hold up better if I don't, particularly Eucalyptus EO. Fragrance oils also don't morph as much for me....they smell much more like they did out of bottle. I also like the softer look of ungelled soap, so again, personal preference.

They will fuse with the soap, but they will still be very visible. If you want to be ABSOLUTELY SURE that they don't change at all, you can always put your soap in the fridge and not gel it. Give it an extra day before you cut and give it a few more days to keep it from zapping. I have used...

I'm in the minority here, but I add just enough milk to moisten my shredded soap, and then I heat it, covered in the microwave on 50% power until the shreds look translucent.

Several of us on another forum have been trying something new as far as deodorant. After widespread testing, there are many of us that have discovered that plain old Milk of Magnesia is a remarkably cheap and effective deodorant! Simply apply after bathing, let dry, and it keeps the stink...

I take my soap scraps, ugly soaps, etc and shred them until I have about a lb of them. I simmer this in about a gallon of water until they're completely dissolved and then stir in some washing soda. If they're heavily superfatted, I will stir in a small spoonful of lye. I let it cool and...

Oh my.....I'm stuck between :evil: and :lol: Looks like their snake oil business is for sale....evidently not many folks are believing that an external product can cure arthritus make your @ss smaller (I wish), or cure depression.

If you can find one in your budget, get a scale that measures in grams rather than ounces. I find that my smaller batches are much more consistent when I use grams. :)

I only use my own handmade soap or one from a trusted fellow soaper.
