Wow! I didn't know that I could lose weight by osmosis!! I am going to buy me a great big box o' soaps and say goodbye to my treadmill and veggies. I will spend countless hours soaking in the tub and standing under my shower head! :)

Seriously, how can anyone in their right mind believe any of their claims and where is the BBB?

It would smell like Chuck Norris' boots! lol

Chuck Norris can speak braille.

When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night he checks his closet for Chuck Norris.

Chuck Norris doesn't have hair on his nards, because hair does not grow on steel.

anyway, back to the claims.

Well that's what I'm wondering, do people actually believe that soap can really perform miracles?

It cleans you - sometimes leaves you smelling nice, but that's pretty much it ..

Yeah I left moisturises out because even that's controversial (but I personally find it does!)

Soap = Snake Oil of the new millennium!

Hmm, that gives me an idea .. What scent does one suppose Snake Oil Soap would smell like? I'm going to make some this afternoon!

As a resident snake-mummy, I have to suggest that most snakes are pretty lean creatures - mine refuses food if he's not hungry for instance. Very smart!

As to how they smell..well, slightly musky, but mostly neutral.

Artisan,
that would indeed be a recipe for SFE's. (stupid feeding errors. aka smelling like a rat and getting bitten).

I had two, but i'm now down to one baby. He's an 11 (!) year old western hognose, heteradon nasicus nasicus by the name of Sir Hiss. He still fits on the palm of my hand :) and I swear he's a well educated snake. He's crawled over all my books for uni. ;-)

Oh my.....I'm stuck between  and

Looks like their snake oil business is for sale....evidently not many folks are believing that an external product can cure arthritus make your @ss smaller (I wish), or cure depression.

stay away from making claims...

as long as your not making any claims about your soap it is not classed as a cosmetic. the moment you make beauty claims your home made soap becomes a cosmetic subject to FDA regulations. Soap without claims are not regulated by the same rules.

And as they then are regulated false claims can be prosecuted?

weight loss soap ... LOL

That's funny.

Ok, my question regarding all of this is just speaking on the terms of EO's .... are you allowed to mention what EO's are good for? Like if you add lavender, we all know that is good for calming....are you allowed to mention that, or no? I never do, I'm just wondering.

The tanning one does sound scary....are they putting a citrus EO in it and telling you to sunbathe?? can you imagine??

No time to eat?

Now Now...I bet weight loss soap really works, especially if you spend all day washing instead of eating!
