Happy Anniversasy & need PARTY help...

How about an outdoor BBQ to celebrate??? May need a permit, but there is nothing like the smell of hot dogs and hamburgers to gather a crowd. You could charge a small fee for the bbq and donate the proceeds, after expenses to a local charity. BEST OF LUCK with your anniversary celebrations...

Need to buy new kitchen appliances any suggestions welcome

I have had to have my oven serviced twice now (under warantee), but I think its because of my electrical. It seems to conk out after a power failure. Although the stove top is gas, and works during power outages. The dishwasher does a great job, it is not super quiet, like a Meile. But I...

I have the LG Steam washer & dryer, and LOVE IT. Although its now a bit to big for me to fill up a load, with the kids away at school most of the time. All my kitchen appliances are Kitchen Aid stainless steel. I have the 2 drawer dishwasher and love it, as I can do smaller loads through...

Bad soapmakers tainted my market! :(

Chin up!!! You need to get into the trade shows where the buyers come to you. LUSH is MP, or so I have been told. Profit margins are higher with MP soaps, imo. It's now 90% of my market. Market your soaps at a higher end, if you are doing all natural HP/CP soaps. Although, imo...

Canadian sellers can save on shipping with this free card.

And they have a program you can add to your web-site that calculates your shipping almost dead on. As long as you weigh your products accurately.

My Soap Business - Can't do it.

With all do respect Lindy, I have a different opinion. You need to wait for approval from Health Canada, they do send a letter of approval, in my experience with them. And your facility should always be open for inspection, in my experience they come 2 times a year. I whole heartily agree...

And in Canada you also have to have your receipes approved by Health Canada. Not that its hard to do, just time consuming, filling out all the forms.

Check out the local churches in your area, often their kitchens are professional and meet the code requirements. Then approach the church and offer to rent out the kitchen to you during the week for a day or two at a nominal charge, for your soapmaking. Just a thought.
