    Bitter Almond EO

I guess I did not consider it not being actual Bitter Almond. I am very sensitive to chemicals so I do not use any fragrance oils. I just bought this since I thought it would be fun if we tried to get a bit more advanced and risky and used some honey in the recipe and also added some ground up...

    Tallow Candles

Did you happen end up being able to make the candles out of Tallow? How did they turn out and did they stink when burned? I am going to make a few later on once all my supplies get here and after I make some soap. I read they produce a lot of soot but that is to be expected I think.

    My new Castile Soap

what does it mean to salt out the soap? I do not like moisturizing soaps that seem to grease me up in the shower myself either. That what lotion is for right lol.

    New bar

It is making my mouth water lol...it looks like a tasty treat! I love the way it looks and the colors. I favor earth tones and natural looking things myself. It looks kind of like a sandy beach with broken shells ;)

straight sided small soap log molds

It looks like the same loaf molds that Wholesale Supplies Plus sells except they are in America and Saffire Blue appears to be in Canada. I like the looks of the Soap Hutch Divider Mold Saffire Blue sells but wow that's expensive for me and the boys to have a fun weekend making soap for us lol...

    Bitter Almond EO

I just bought a bottle of Bitter Almond Essential Oil from WSP. Actually it is the only thing I even ordered to scent some soap with and for that go figure that night after it was delivered to my house I open up the Soap Crafting new book from the Soap Queen's and it stated in their book along...

    Distinguishing Soap Recipes on Etsy

You can say that it include such and such and then say that such and such has been known to be moisturizing. In that do not say that your soap is moisturizing. But with saying such and such that is included in your bar has known moisturizing effects the normal consumer with put two and two...

straight sided small soap log molds

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a place to buy some soap molds that would produce a straight side. I found them on WSP but was hoping someone had a supplier or link for even Amazon that perhaps sold them cheaper. I think I would like to stick with some silicone ones if possible so I...

    Etsy shop

I am not good with words or grammar myself so I always ask people to help me by reading over things I write. If you have Facebook ask your friends and family on there to give you some input too. My husband is my usual proof reader for letters I write before mailing them off etc. It always...

What's the benefit of tea in your soap?

I thought green tea added into soap was to aid in a detox effect as it would as well if drank. Not sure but that is what I have read from soap listings that I have read from other soapers selling soaps with green tea in it. I have no clue if they are all mislead or if it really does somehow...

    Etsy shop

I would have to agree with the titles. They do not do anything to grasp my attention and want me to click on it...for one I really am lazy and do not want to read titles and decipher what they are...what I do on there type in whatever my keyword is for whatever I am looking for in the search...

How do you display your scrubs & lotions at farmers markets?

I think the look of a tiered shelf on a table looks nice and not too cluttered and well organized. Just use some 2x4 wood as risers and maybe do no more than 3 levels. Have them at the back of the table and use the open space in front for smaller items if you have any or nothing it will look...

    Consignment

Local here I know of the "main" place to sell our handmade crafts and she goes on a scale depending on how much money you gross in sales per month...she got I want to say 20% percent and you at the same time had to also pay her rent for your spot in the store so your looking at another about $30...

How long do your bars last?

I think soap last me roughly just about a month and I am the only one that uses bar soap. My husband thinks I am strange but I like wash just my face alone about 3 times while in the shower. I guess I am a clean freak lol. My soap stays out of the water and so its just me going crazy...

    Business Name

I like the Griffin Ridge Farm name too and hey perhaps you can just add a line that would be appealing to the teen age market and call that sub-category "Sweet Sixteen"...shoot have your cake and eat it too! ;) I think the Sweet Sixteen could work as the business name if your soaps were indeed...

how long does your stamped image on soap stay?

When you 'stamp soap' and make a impression into the soaps surface with a rubber stamp- how many washes does the impression usually stay visible for on average? I was curious about this and know its a odd ball question but my eldest son wants to help me make soap and I thought he might enjoy...
