    Logo, design opinions please

I can't see the first image but I would say, I do like the second (pink outline with white text). I would not use both the 1st and the 2nd. It gets confusing. You want your customers and prospects to be able to immediately identify your logo - including the colors. Unless you did green...

    Economical Soap Recipie

I've seen 100% Crisco recipes, but I like my 100% olive oil.

Is it my recipe?? Consistent overheating + cracking

Newbie here, but: The time I experienced cracking is when I accidently bumped the lid off my wooden mold and the soap cooled too quickly (heat escaped) and the soap erupted out! I now make sure to keep the lid firmly on and my molds lightly insulated. No cracks for me :-)

    Astringent for soap

I saw witch hazel used on Miller's Soaps (I think). Tea tree and life everlasting flowers are also astringent.

    HARD bar recipes?

Is it just me or...when I plug my recipe in on soapcalc.net and shift oil amounts around to add 2% beeswax, the only attribute that changes is my hardness goes DOWN. From 30 to 28! No matter which oil I take from. What's up? Will it still produce a harder bar even if the calc says it wont?

New Recipe - feel free to move if it belongs in recipes!

Just wondering what y'all think of this recipe. I want something simple, plain (but easy to dress up with essential oils, etc.) and I don't want it super stripping. I like 100% vegetable, but palm free 72% Olive Oil 22% Coconut Oil 6% Castor oil 2:1 water:lye 8% superfat Thoughts...

    Let me introduce myself....

Hello hello! My name is Sara (without an H), and I'm pretty new to CP soap making. I really enjoy it! I've been looking for a creative release since I quit dancing a few years ago. Cooking is fun, but I can't eat as much as I make, quilting - also fun, but super time consuming, and I suck at...

    Castile Soap

Well, the way I see it...castile is just 100% OO, without regard to what liquid is being used. So 100% olive oil with goat's milk still makes it castile.

Need ideas for how to use lots of shredded olive oil soap

Not sure if others mentioned this but... You can use if for making your own laundry soap, general purpose cleaner. and liquid soap (just mix with water).

Using whisky or other spirits in CP soap

Ugh, I'm new and this was my first mistake. I added spiced rum on a whim to my pumpkin spice cp soap (with the water, mind you) and the soap seized immediately! Definitely boil out the alcohol. Lesson learned. On another note.... it did add wonderful scent.
