I made my first attempt at ZNSC. Used the faux sea water with salt and baking soda. First, is it normal for the lye solution to foam a lot and the foam not stirback in? I poured it through a strainer into my oil to catch anything funky. Nothing really appeared . Second, I let it sit overnight and cut the next evening. That was the hardest soap I have ever cut. And, it felt like I was dragging the wire through straight up bakingsoda in some places. I mixed the mess outta this batch to get it to trace, so idk what was up. It made a beautiful white bar. Even now it has a lovely lather. No slime. No snotty feel.
