Has anyone ever used this before? I am looking for different ways to thicken liquid soap and this stuff looks good to me. There are no instructions on how to use it though. Do you need to heat the liquid soap before adding? Will it affect PH? Does it need to be mixed in water then added to the soap?

Have you tried using less water?

Xanthan gum can be used to thicken liquid soap. I sprinkle the powder on top of sterilized (boil and hold for 20 minutes) room temp water. Let it sit undisturbed for about 30 minutes, then SB.

I'm not 100% certain, but if I remember correctly, xanthan gum doesn't effect the pH, but if you are making liquid soap you will be using phenolphthalein anyway. Just test it again after dilution.
