Here's my attempt at using Wild Mtn Honey from Peak. I was overly cautious because of all the reports of seizing, acceleration, etc. so I only used a slotted spoon to stir. It behaved well using this method, but the honey didn't fully incorporate (see all my lovely honey "specks") and darkened during gel. Oh well.

It looks lovely with the specks. If you hadn't said anythinng, I would have thought it was deliberate. Will the honey specks affect the soap? I've rarely used used honey.

Hazel- I don't know if it will affect the soap or not. Maybe someone else can report if they've had this also.

The specks look very natural and give the soap a look of depth. I bet they smell amazing too!

Thanks all! It really does smell yummy. It's funny how things smell wonky in the first 24 hours and then the scents change or go back to the original smell. Some of the complexity is already coming back. Or, maybe I just couldn't smell anything because of olfactory overload.

Anyone else get honey specks?

Beautiful! Your soap looks amazing! Like others have said, I thought the speckles were meant to be their. Fantastic!

I do honey pockets on purpose - I LIKE seeping honey :D

Honey is recommended as a facial cleanser all by itself...it isn't sticky in the shower and actually adds such a rugged natural element to your bath. I LOVE it and make sure all of my honey soaps turn out so.
