So I'm being presured to sell my soap. I need a name. It's betweed "Rumor's" and "Gossip" I won't be selling for a while yet but I need to get my name in order so my site can get set up and all that stuff. What do you guys think???

I like Rumors too . Gossip kind of has a negative impact to me . Not many people like someone who is a gossip . kwim ,jmho

The reason I"m between those two names is I'm living in a REALLY small town, it REVOLVES around rumors and Gossip. So I just think it's funny and would be nice to put a nice spin it! I really want to do this, I just need to make sure my soap is ready. It just takes so much time getting everything organized that if I don't start now it will never happen! Thanks for the opinions.
I agree with the mystery of Rumors I think I"m leaning that way!

I am not sure about either name. Just trying to think if I would be inclined to pick up a bar of soap that says either. Sometime you can get the same meaning for the word that comes to mind by seeing what comes up in the thesaurus. I'm sort of on the fence here.

Did you just start making soap or have you been doing it a while. I don't think it's all that important to name your soap business right away unless you are putting the stuff on a store shelf.

just my 2c.

Another synonym for Gossip is BusyBody...does that potentially fit into a soap name?

Marketing books say a business name should tell what you do -- instantly, without the customer having to ask

What about Small Town Soap Co.
I have lived in a small town I know what you mean .

I like Kitn's suggestion. You could always use rumor or gossip as individual soap names. :)

Oh I like that Jude :D

Do you know what she did tomorrow
Party Line

It would be a blast coming up with soap names :D

My business name is----- Small Town Soaps:)
I too am from a small town and do believe that your business name should indicate what you sell immediately.

another soap, "nutt'n, honey"

reminds me of a comedy bit on the radio i heard years ago, a spoof of the nuts and honey cereal commercials.

hopefully this doesn't offend anyone. the cereal's name was "nut 'n bits"

wife asks, "what you eatin?"
husband responds, "(as above)"

Good job Sibi!

And I love the idea of naming the soaps in a matching theme..
- Scandal
- Innuendo
- Slander
- Whispers

You could go on and on.

I might suggest that you consider using something other than "... soap company" in case you decide to branch out later.
Maybe The Rumor Mill Bath & Body Co. etc
