I'm so very sorry and I hope things will get better very soon, I can truly empathize 
I made soap today! It's a special order. I was, how you say, pretty chuffed with my emulsion which gave me time to mix up 4 colors. Scented with 'in the dark' from eocalc. But good lord, my soap shop looked like a bloodbath (altho' nowhere near as bad as the New Zealand Great Red Mica Spill 2021). In trying to not knock over a cup of batter, I managed to spill my EO blend instead. And lots of batter drips. How do those YouTubers do it??!!
Chuffed, eh?
Aside from the mica spill, I'm a very tidy soaper.

Ordered more EO's, cause, well you all know... getting ready to put some in a slurry and hope to get a few batches made up in the next week.
We have snow forecast for tomorrow which will curb many of my outside activities until spring. Hoping this first snowfall melts away but can't count on that happening. The bonus is that I will probably make more soap until being outside to mix up lye and batter is unbearably cold.
I happened to notice today is my SMF anniversary, 7 years. I have learned so much and have so much more to learn. I attended a horse clinic this weekend and the clinician referred to a well known trainer who says it takes two lifetimes with horses and you still may not learn everything. Since I don't have a science/chemistry background, that's how I feel about soaping. Thank you all who take the time to help, advise and sometimes just remind us to breathe.

The last marbley-looking one is normal sized, and was actually a rebatch. I had put the embed on for the original marble one, hated them, and then cut up the soap and halfway started again. Happier with the second time around, for sure.
I use those black gloves too....very goth of you! And I have been in an industrial / goth mood this past week, I tell ya! haha

Last week, in a flurry of impulse, I ordered some glitters from MM, and they came today!
It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the lower left one is little holographic stars. I don’t really have time to make soap this weekend, but now I might have to!

Made soap using a new recipe. It’s scented with WSP Nag Champa. I wanted an all black soap with gold mica lines throughout. Well, the soap turned gray when I added the lye and the mica lines aren’t noticeable. I’ll try again next time and make sure to use more mica for the lines. I also cut it too early and I think I got steric acid spots. Never had them before, but this recipe uses 25% Shea butter.

The WSP Nag Champa is one of my favorite oils, but so expensive! Save-it-for-your-favorite-people or lotion/cream expensive. I wonder what people charge for a bar if they sell it. I mix it with OTS Sandalwood sometimes, it is a very nice blend.
