I got my mold!
It's really really really well put together. Can't wait to wash and use it. It'll do 18 bars at a time no matter how they are cut (horizontally or vertically)

What is Candelaria please ?My first Lard, Egg and Candelaria infused olive oil soap!
I used my finger and a soft bristle brush withsome mica. Worked out pretty good.
Sorry!! Damn spell check!! Calendula infused oilWhat is Candelaria please ?
I love your creativity! I'm excited to see how the bee molds turn out.I absolutely hated the round soap so I have been playing around with them. I took a few and smooshed them in my shampoo bar mold. It helped a little. Then, I took the leftover embed logs and cut them to fit inside cavity molds. I'll make a batch of white batter again like the other bees and pour over. Maybe I'll have decent looking soap then.
Yes, I can relate to the little cups of extras I forgot to stir in at the end before pouring into the moldWhen I make slabs, not so much. But multicolor or multi-loaf batches requires days of preparation and checking and rechecking. Then execution is fast.
Fragrance and/or sodium gluconate gets missed often
That looks super creamy and so prettyMy first Lard, Egg and Calendula infused olive oil soap!
Well it looked pretty going but this is what it looked like the next day And it was oily to the touch. My SF was at 5. Maybe I need to raise it?My first Lard, Egg and Calendula infused olive oil soap!
When I accidentally made my 50% super fat soap I poured off the excess oil and it became soap. It didn't look anything like I intended though. I've still got it too.My soap thing today was an epic fail. And a total waste of a huge amount of oils!
As I was playing around with the recipe on soapcalc I wanted to masterbatch the lye, but I didn’t click the right button but I master batched it anyway not paying attention to the recipe that I printed out that was wrong.
And so my beautiful batch of soap did not have enough lie for saponificationView attachment 80605 and when I looked at it this morning there was all this oil laying on the top surface.
Is there any way to save it? Do I just throw it in the trash?
I have no experience with lard and/or egg yolks in soap recipes so I'm not help here. What was the whole recipe? What liquid did you work with?Well it looked pretty going but this is what it looked like the next day And it was oily to the touch. My SF was at 5. Maybe I need to raise it?View attachment 80604
