Just lay the pipette against the bottle and secure it with a rubber band, just so it doesn't get lost and gets used for the same bottle, it's only to store it, nothing more.It's not used over the mouth of the bottle, you just put it in and pull up the -FO.
Not really soapy but last week I completed a five day photography course - aimed at Etsy sellers and specifically for using smart phones. I learned some things, mostly that I need a better setup for my photos, which I’m working on. Taking soap photos is a stressor for me, I never get what I envision, colors always seem off, always takes me way too long, waaah, waaah, waaaaah... But now I sort of know what I don’t know.

Most of them are pretty short, so you do have to tilt the bottle to reach the stuff inside. This can be a pain (and quite the spill risk), especially with larger bottles.I think I have some glass pipettes with rubber tops that I might be able to wash.
Also, it is really importantly to completely rinse out not just the glass tubes, but also the rubber tops of those after each use. The EO will eat right through them - ask me how I know.
Even with regular rinsing, I find that the rubber tops fail pretty quickly due to even brief reactions with EOs or FOs. Too bad, because I have tons of them from some vitamins that we regularly buy.

Ooooo @Misschief those look great! I've not thought about buying them as I was trying to use the ones that came with our vitamin bottles. Have you had any issues with the rubber tips degrading due to contact with EOs or other strong substances?

Not at all. Whatever I'm drawing up never really gets that high up the tube. The only issue I've had so far is at the tip end. It's quite fine and that can be a weak point. I've had one break at the tip. Apart from that, though, no other complaints. They're lab grade.

ok so I haven't been around for a while but I'm just so excited I had to share. My soapy thing is I just got these in the mail so I can FINALLY use the space up on my 6-foot shelving unit. I've only been able to store soap and other products horizontally which left a lot of unusable space between shelves. My husband bought me 3 for my birthday. Who would have thought dishwasher trays would bring me such Joy? (plus they were decent price)

I have 3 of these flatware racks from Webstaurant & love them. You inspired me to go back and get 2 more, plus 4 of the plastic cafeteria trays for moving soap around. The racks I bought cost $18.49 each. I purchased individual trays for $1.79 each. The shipping originally came up at $29, but when I added, the trays in shipping went down to $19. Go figure. They should arrive by the time I get back home from Seattle.

It's been a tough year. I havent been making much but I saw the dish racks and felt a bit inspired so hopefully things will start looking up.
