What is liquid soap? Hand, Body Wash? etc?

OK, dumb question here, right?

But all of the tutorials and recipes I see just say "Liquid Soap"

What's the difference then between making hand soap, body wash, shampoo?

Nothing. The soap formula is for whatever use you need it for. I use the term to distinguish between my dish soap (100% CO) and hand soap (IrishLass' LGS recipe) because the 100% CO soap would peel the hide from my hands. People may thicken soap for body wash use, but at the end of the day, it comes down to whatever recipe and process you want to use for a specific purpose. However, it is still all soap.
