Does the season really affect your soap making?
I've used exactly the same recipe, the same ingredients and the same process but my last 2 batches of soap have looked wet when I've got then out? Is this sweating, unsaponified oils, or dreaded lye pockets?
It's a 5%superfat. Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Hemp and Beeswax.
They seemed to come to trace faster than normal about 4 to 5 mins.. was it a false trace maybe. I then popped some bubble wrap around the outside for 12 hours and then took off.
Anyway most look fine but one of my novelty moulds has a little puddle on the top, I stupidly touched it and it didnt burn or anything, and in my loaf there are some wet patches on the outside of the soap.. can anyone give any advice. It's not letting me upload a photo from my phone.
