Trying to figure out how to expand on my product line. So far I offer CP soap, lip balm, lotion sticks, salve, scrubs, bath salts, and bath bombs. I only do 100% natural (besides the lye in soap) so I do have limitations. I would like to do some roll on perfume and maybe even do some natural make up but I don't use any make up myself. Much thanks in advance!

I make facial toner, aftershave, sugar scrub, whipped shea butter, lip balm, solid lotion, shave soap and solid perfume. I also make bath tub paint soap for the kiddies.

Do you use any of the same containers for different products or does each product have its own unique container? After shave sounds fun! Do many people buy it? I have many products that are geared towards men but many of my buyers are women buying for themselves or other women.

I have different containers for each product. I use blue bottles/jars with black lids for my aftershave/shave soap. I use purple bottles for the toner. I do have a pretty good male following. There is a shave shop that carries my products too. Quite a few women also purchase things for their husbands/fathers/brothers. It certainly varies from place to place.

Hah! So I had a really good show today and had several men buy soap. One guy even bought some scrub so that was cool! I found some really neat pots for lip scrubs and such on WSP. Thanks for sharing! Gives me some motivation to expand on my line of products.

You can expand to liquid soaps and shampoos. Also deodorant, Facial clays, eye serums, and lotions. Also if you make a body butter, try making 2 kinds, the whole butter and an emulsified body butter (which is not just pure butter). If you only make the oil scrubs you can add the emulsified ones as well.

I find people either like one or the other. Some people love pure body butter, but for some it is too oily and they opt for the emulsified.

Moving on to perfume would be a good choice. Maybe you could experiment with adding things like resins and strong infused oils to your perfume instead of just essential oils, to get a wider range of scent. You could even make solid perfume and use floral waxes.

Apart from soaps, I mostly do some mess ;)

I am not selling soaps, but I make some make up products on my own and I must say it is quite difficult to offer someting that will suit most of the people. Powders, for example, need different shades and have to address needs of people with oily/normal/combination/dry skin etc. If you do not use make up yourself, maybe (just maybe) you will be less convincing to your customers and less able to give them in-depth advice in this field?
Solid perfume is a great idea; I make these for myself too and I happily buy them from time to time. I use them as a bedtime scent just before I go to sleep; maybe you could also come up with a line of 'bedtime products' - bathing products, lotions and solid parfumes scented in the same, calming or naughty ;) way? That's what I never had a chance to buy :) Or wake-up product line (scented so that it energizes people in the morning)?
