Hi!

I am new to soap making and wondered what I could use in wheatgerm soap as a exfoliater/scrub. I am based in the UK.

Also can anyone recommend any good websites where I can order my stuff from that isn't too expensive.

Cheers:)

Exfolliant

You can add loofah to MP - either loofah slices or ground loofah. Personally, I prefer to use the slices because I do not think ground loofah is good for household plumbing. It works as a great exfolliator, especially for loofah foot soap.

 My uncle makes amazing bright green M&P with fresh wheatgerm juice.

I really like Gracefruit. I wouldn't make it too scrubby; as soap seems to get scrubbier with each use.
The cranberry, rasberry or strawberry seeds would be nice.

use wheat germ it work great in wheat germ soap

Triticum Vulgare (Wheat Germ)- Highly nutritive, relieves symptoms of dermatitis, and provides mild exfoliation, oxygenation to skin, and improved circulation to help repair damage. It is a naturally rich source of Vitamin E and contains squalane, which is involved in the process of cell growth and has great healing properties

Also, by using wheat germ, you're staying close to the "theme" of the soap!

Another exfoliant to consider is ground oatmeal--the finer the less coarse it is. I've used a small percentage of whole oats mixed with fine oats for more exfoliating power. Wait, I just remembered, it's called porridge over there, right? Anyway, don't use instant oatmeal/porridge, use the slow cooking kind as it's a bit more firm.
