Every Sunday I have a bunch of emails from SMF for threads I've subscribed to. It finally occurred to me that I could probably unsubscribe at the same time I post a comment. And so I can. I really should learn to be more techie. :roll:

Under your account section (from the drop down at the top of the forum) you can also manage your subscribed threads

click on the subscribed threads then click where it says empty current folder to get rid of them all

And in the settings you can set it to not subscribe to threads that you post in

I have a separate email folder in my email program set to receive all my thread subscription notifications. That way I can browse and check the ones I want.

I'm glad I'm not the only one - I was really kind of embarrassed admitting it. Those are other ways I didn't discover to unsubscribe!! I just went to the Thread Tools tab, and there was an unsubscribe option right there. So if I remember, I can unsubscribe right after I post.
