Well, hear is another things did not go as planned story. Hubby coming home tonight from driving so I had plans for cleaning then making soap. Just got cleaning done but it took longer due to the fact my chickens were being attack by a male hawk. Dam stupid male it is smaller than the hen it went after. We have a new pup that is 6 months old and is are farm dog. I took her down to help and she did. But going up and down this property is trying to say the least since it is not level.

So long story short I am now too dang tired to make soap. ;(

Oh, I am sorry you are too tired to make soap, and I hope your chickens are alright!

I did my first rebatch today of a soap that lost all fragrance.
It's not very pretty but scented with Lime FO which I hope will stick so I don't have to do a re- re- batch!
It is just a little over a lb so I should be able to use it up pretty quickly.

I did make my lavender soap yesterday. Took it out of the fridge a bit ago. I doubled the lavender color (lab colors) from my last batch, and expected it to be a bit darker than it is. Have oils measured and added my dried parsley for color to the oils. Hope that is not a mistake, as i do not know if I'll get the batch made tonight or not. After dinner and a shower I need to help hubby double check his paperwork for Special Olympics. He is the local coach and is preparing for summer games.

I had one of those rare Saturdays when I had the house to myself and all my obligatory stuff was done so I soaped to my hearts content. Made 4 batches! 2lb loaf batch in Ginger Lime (mold pic in photo gallery, cut pics coming soon). 3lb shaped mold, layered natural and red batter, scented in Rain Orchid. 3lb column with funnel swirl in electric blue and TD white, scented with Harvest Moon. And lastly, a 5lb loaf if HP, infused with silk and coconut's milk and scented with Lemon Basil.

So far it looks like everything turned out as hoped. Cut pics coming soon!!!

I just made an MP to calm the addiction while I wait for my scale. It is in the freezer chillin' out with my ice cream :)

Chickens are fine all locked up. Missing one not sure if she was late to show up or not. Will know more tomorrow as I have had chickens out over night before that did not make it back in time for lock up.

As for me I am off to bed real soon. Hubby getting in at 4am will be here at 5am and I know I will get no sleep from then on. Pup will wake me up and those two will be playing till sun up. Then outside with the both of them and I will make soap tomorrow. :)
