Since vitamin C is a weak acid, would I be correct in assuming that any potential 'vitamin C benefits' usually associated with the unprocessed forms of coriander or papaya leaves are entirely wasted in lye soap?

... and best used as powders, oil or glycerite extracts in syndet ormulations?

Vitamin C is broken down by heat (and light) and also leaches out into liquids when it is cooked. Unless the soapmaker soaps at low temperatures and prevent the soap from gelling at all, I don't see how one can produce soap containing intact vitamin C. IIt also interacts with the lye, as shown in this link, so I'd bet there is nothing left of the vitamin once soap has saponified anyway. And even if it were added to HP soap after the cook, it would still be too hot, right?
