Uses for old oil?

These aren’t rancid, but they’re too old for soap.
What can I use them for, anything?

because they're compromised enough that my soap I tried making with them did not work out.

That's a bummer. I've heard about it, but didn't know it could be that bad

I apply oil in my hair before going to swim to protect them, and I tend to use older/not too precious oils. But I feel like that would not help you enough regarding your problem :/

If the oils aren’t rancid you can use them for candles, or even for furniture polish! I once had some old oils and made basic lip balms – not perfect, but they worked.You can also try making something for cutting boards. It’s worth trying to add oils to baths too though not all will mix well with water.

You got me interested when you mentioned candles. Do you add a small amount of oils to the wax when you melt it, and how does it turn out?
