Just wondering if anyone has an Uplands slab mold and if you do, did you get your liner with or without cut lines? I'm not even sure what mold I'm going to get, but I'm pretty sure I need a good wood mold and Uplands is my first choice. The cut lines would help, I think, but I'm not sure if they make the soap less attractive somehow.

Don't know. Lines might make it easier to cut, but what if you want to do a different size bar?

Regardless, they've been on hiatus for a while now, while the business is being sold, so not sure what you can get when.

My understanding is that the owners are trying to sell the company, and at least one person on the forum had difficulty (or never got?) a mold they ordered from them. I don't know what the situation really is, as their website is not current. I would love to buy a wooden mold with silicone liners, but there aren't too many sources for that.

Woodfields molds are really nice, I left a message for the Upland soap factory this morning, maybe I shouldn't be to optimistic about getting a reply.

Thanks for all the input. Woodfields looks great, but they're more expensive, and have less selection than Uplands. I sent them (Uplands) an email, so we'll see if anything comes of it!

I have the silicon slab mold from crafters choice with cut lines. I just got it, and so have only used it twice. My technique may improve on practice. I do find the lines helpful, but they create the problem of having to clean up the edges a bit since the soap cutter does not match the groove size.

Toni - I was thinking that same thought, but could quite articulate it. The cut lines would have to be very slim to not create a problem with the edges. Of course, Crafter's Choice is probably one of the silicone molds, right? I suppose Uplands will be a different story, but has the potential to have the same problem. I'm very good at measuring and making straight cuts, so I'll probably go without the cut lines. Incidentally, where do you buy a Crafter's Choice Slab Mold? I didn't have much luck with a Google search.

I got it at WSP. Material Just like the green ones that so many people have, but bright pink!

I ordered my Upland mold 2 months ago. I have sent several emails, and called twice with no luck getting a response. I am pretty sure that they are out of business. My husband bought some materials and is going to try to make some for me. If they work out and are not too much hassle he may be making them to sell. I will post if he decides to do it.

I emailed them a couple weeks ago about making a purchase but being concerned about their status and have received no communication from them. So sad, I'm always late to the party. I do like their selection and the good price.
