If I know I am going to use the TD through the entire batch, I add it directly to my lye water. I think the heat from the lye heating things up helps break down the clumps. I have yet to have a problem doing it that way. I use water-dispersible. Just have to shake it up a little bit before pouring as the TD likes to settle to the bottom of the bottle.
