1 teaspoon per pound of oils, sorry can't say about skin reactions.

Yes, seems to happen all by itself but I really like the effect.

1 tsp per pound of oil is a good place to start. It will turn bright orange at first and then fade to a sandy tan color.

You might also want to infuse it in the oil and then pour off the oil before using it, leaving the turmeric sediment at the bottom of the jar. No speckles that way.

I always like using Tumeric EO instead of powdered tumeric

I like the color combination. I like that they are both natural colorants. And I don't know how you did that whole wavy thang but that is cool too.
