The heron is back

Each year we get a heron visitor on our beaver pond. Sometimes they mate and build a nest!

Here's this year's first photos, taken from inside the house with a zoom.

I can balance on a log, canoe?

I can also walk on water:

You have a lovely place to live and some great photo ops. Do you have any pics of the heron babies from yrs past?

We have a blue heron that comes to our pond to fish but he has yet to nest there. They are definately beautiful creatures.
