Hi everyone! We are FINALLY settled in after our move! That took long enough and I'm a little more insane because of it. I gave some soap (oatmeal, milk, & honey and a lavender lime) away to friends that we already had here. They're all telling me to sell it, but I keep telling them I'm not ready for that! It does make me feel good though because at least I know I'm getting it right! I did get to make a true castile the other day, so now the waiting and waiting on that one!

I was able to order a ton (well, a ton for me) of supplies the other day and now I'm just itching for them to get here. It's been way too long since I got to make anything! My order from Essential Depot should be here Friday. I also ordered from Soap Making Resource for the first time and can't figure out how to look up an order or track it. Probably a good thing because I would obsess.

I hope to do a charcoal soap, calendula, triple butter (just ordered the kit with a new mold from ED), salt soap, grapefruit orange, and a cinnamon shave soap that will hopefully be a good replacement for what we once bought at a craft fair and my husband loved. I'm going to have a ton of soap to give away if it all turns out. Thinking ahead for Christmas! That last one scares me. I can just picture it seizing up in the pot!

Has anyone tried the new red mold from Essential Depot? I'm excited to try out something that I don't have to line!

So glad I can actually get on here again and will have something to show off soon!

I bought the new mold two weeks ago and absolutely love it. I just ordered two more today if that gives you an idea how much I love it. It does everything it says, very thick and good quality silicone so easy to remove, dishwasher safe will hold anywhere from 3lb to 6lbs of soap mixture. The edges are crisp and straight. The only thing is if you fill it to the top, put in in the box it came with(see Catherine video fro soapmaking 101) and it will hold it stable. I actually had a wooden mold that it fits perfectly in and love the fact of no lining. It is very reasonable priced compared to the other liners out there.

I'm glad you love it so much! I'll definitely check out the video. I have only done 3lb batches, but my next couple of recipes are for 5 lbs. I came really close to ordering the 2lb elf mold from brambleberry, but they were out of stock on several other things I wanted to order so I held off.

I need more lye soon also... makes me think about that mold, but I am already spending too much money. Must just get what I *need* to make soap, not more.. hehehe. I am glad that you are getting stuff to make more soap and get set up there, Tiffany! I am also glad that you have people that are liking your soap ;-) I need to find some windows to throw my soap into or something. I have tons of soap and not sure what to do with it all. I have over 100 bars curing (I am so glad I make small batches)!

I ordered 10 pounds of lye. I think that should do for a bit. ED has it with free shipping right now! 100 bars! You've been really going at it!

Badger - sign up or host some soap swaps and that's a good way to get rid of soap :) I just ran one for a FB group that I'm in and I got rid of 20+ soaps. Of course, I also got 20+ back in return, but those are ones that I use myself!

I have some friends to bring soaps to, and some is going to family, but my apartment is full of soap! I have been very busy :) I have some soaps going out in a swap in the near future and also have soaps coming in from the BB swap also.
