So I made a 3lb batch of peppermint soap and it's got a lighter outside color and a strange burgundy interior. It's been unmolded for 48 hours now and the color hasn't changed. It's CP that was put in a 170 degree oven for about an hour and left in the oven overnight. No coloring agents were added, water was the liquid, peppermint leaves were added to the oil and some bentonite clay. Oils used were canola, coconut, grapeseed and vitamin e. It's not ash but just a way lighter color. Has anyone had anything like this happen, I'm not unhappy but it's the first time this happened, but it's only my 6th batch.

Sorry here's the soap

i think its cool. very "earthy", did you use dark oo? it may lighten up? The grapeseed may have done something? I like it!

the only color was the light green of the grapeseed oil and the clay, I thought between the clay, grapeseed and leaves that I'd get a light gray with brown flecks. It smells great but I'll probably never reproduce the color
