spearmint creme in keith brown soap mold made by dh

my first batch of soap using the soap mold dh made for me a la keith brown utube video. i'm soooo pleased with the soap mold. i lined w/ freezer paper which was kind of a pain, but it did work well. no leaking and i unscrewed the ends and the soap popped out easy as pie. i made a vegan soy milk based speariment soap using the spearmint leaves process by soaking in boiling water and then drying. they did not turn brown at all....thanks soap for breakfast!! i had some difficulty getting the spearmint leaves to distribute evenly.....i tried to pour the soap in slowly but i have some areas that have more leaves than other....but practice makes perfect i guess. i did pour onto a wisk to try to break the weight of the poured soap but i still had issues......

i love making vegetable milk based soaps! they give the soap such a nice creamy white color and no need for titanium dioxide. the white is so much more even, no need to push through panty hose and all that .....

Great-looking soap.

Since you line your molds, have you tried pulling up on the paper/liner
to remove the soap? Maybe you wouldn't have to unbolt the mold.
I don't have to unbolt mine. Just leave the paper long enough so that
you can get a grip on it above the soap -- and lift. Might save some
time and trouble if it works for you. Works for me.
