Soothing EO question

DH.s face gets irritated everytime he shaves so I thought I'd try making an after shave lotion for him with bay rum for the fragrance.

I don't know much about EO.s but would like to find one that would have a soothing effect for the burning he experiences when he shaves.

I'm totally in the dark here, haven't made anything yet just reading and learning all I can so any info/recipe and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I make lavender shave soap for my bf and he loves that.

Try a toner with witch hazel, distilled water and lavender EO. Nothing harsh or stripping. Lavender is soothing and calms down redness. Add any other EO's to address his needs. Here is a helpful guide:

Oatmeal is also very calming to irritated skin. How about making a light mask with colloidal oatmeal for him?
