i used cappachino powder mix in a soap and all of the scent went right out so i panicked and added 2 or 3 drops of cinnamon oil. (EO)
my soap came out smelling like spice cake. i think it smells good because of the cinnamon but not really because of the powder. it came out looking like this. it is a little paler than i would like but smells great.

Thanks for the info and photo Krissy. I may try that. I love a good spicy scent.

i am thinking of adding a tiny bit of orange and saving this recipe until it gets closer to the fall. to me it smells like a "fall" scent and there are traces of the mix that came through as spots so it really does look spiced. lol

do you all get different types of cornmeal there? We have regular corn meal (Pap) and then superfine Cornmeal which we call Cornstarch or cornflour. I've put cornstarch in body butter before and it wasnt grainy at all!

we have cornstarch. i can't use it as ds is allergic to any corn product. what does the cornstarch do for your soap?
