Hi all! So I just signed up for the membership year of soap, making friend as a soap calculator. I initially really liked it as it saves so many recipes and has an easier way of reviewing all the recipes at the same time with the corresponding values, etc. But have noticed that the conditioning, bubbly, hardness, etc. numbers are different than the ones from soap Calc, the free calculator that I’ve always used one. Don’t know who to trust? Any thoughts??
The fatty acid numbers are virtually the same, but the estimations on each quality are different. What’s up with that?!

I think it has something to do with the way those numbers are calculated and even rounded on both platforms. But they are just guides, nothing more - as long as the fatty acid profiles and SAP values show the same or mostly the same, it's fine.

The same calculator has currently another, more concerning issue - custom liquids are not calculated within the total batch weight. Devs know about it for weeks now, we are waiting for a solution

okay, thanks for the response! I'll just add up the fatty acid numbers to find out the bubbly, conditioning, hardness numbers....saw the calculations online-
been soaping for over 8 years and just picked it back up again, starting from scratch on experimenting with diff recipes- its fun and addictive!!!!
