Not sure if this is the place for this, but the General Chat didn't seem quite right.

I'm sure some of you are members of the Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild. Do you find membership worth the cost? What do you find you get out of it?

Glad you asked this

I was wondering the same thing. I used to be in a local quilt guild and it was well worth it. It did not fit into my work schedule this year so I am not a current member. I also have been soaping more than sewing lately. I wish that I could just stay home and do both, I hate how work gets in the way of my life. I feel like I need the support of a guild and don't know any soapers here. I am so glad for this forum. I will be keeping an eye on this thread to see what opinions are about this guild.

Definitely worth it, just for the insurance alone.

I am not a member but I did get my insurance through them, it is great and covers everything, can't beat 150.00 a year!

I think you're confused/mistaken. The insurance through the soap guild is a member only thing. Insurance and membership together is $500 a year.

I'm a member for the insurance. And I often look through the sites of the other members which are posted, just to see all of the beautiful creations.
