Well, it's time to think of Christmas and I'm thinking of buying a soap cutter! I'm really tired of the ruler and knife routine. Not ready for the Tank, yet. What do soap cutter do you use and do you love it?
Thank you!
Carolyn

My wonderful husband made me one similar to the one that is pictured above in MrsFusion's post.

I don't have the "stops" in mine, just a line drawn on it.

Thanks for your responses. I have a few more questions:
Do you think a stainless steel cutter would make for easier clean up?
Do you just wipe down your wooden cutters in between loaves?
Thanks,
Carolyn

I cut a strip of freezer paper and taped it down on the bottom of my cutter, so the soap would have a smooth surface to slide on. Works great, but, I have to change it every once in a while.

I use a large putty knife too. I do have a crinkle cutter also, hubby made the slot just big enough to accept the crinkle cutter.

Normally there isn't any thing to clean up after cutting, but, if there is I just wipe it off with a paper towel.

Mrs. Fusion - great idea about the freezer paper. I'll be doing that if my dad makes me a soap cutter.

Carebear and Deda - sigh- maybe one day - it IS an incredible tool.

donniej - all I can say is WOW! That's amazing.
