I commiserate. Hope we all get to have great neighbours, both at home and at markets.

I once had a lady who came and started going on about how great her religion was. First pretended to be interested in my soap, then got going. My neighbour, a lovely candle maker took pity on me and came over to buy some soap, just to rescue me. That obnoxious lady was forced to leave, shew what a relief.

I have had that problem so many times. And not just at market. Jobs too. I don't know what makes people think it's ok.

Keep a jar of peanut butter handy. When they start jabbering on, you can come out with a few quips such as:
"I already have a whole jar of nuts thanks, I don't need any more in my life"
"You are more nutty than this jar of peanut butter"
"I prefer my nuts on toast thanks, not forced into my eardrums by someone like you"

Feel free to keep the quips coming...
