I am thinking about testing sea sponge soap. Has anybody done this? Words of wisdom? Where did you find sponges? Did customers like it?
Any help would be great.

I have seen photos of sea sponge soaps and it looks to me like they pour the soaps into single bar molds and top it with a sea sponge before it sets up too much - Most of what I have seen is MP but I did see a few using castille CP soap.

I would love to see some of these. I would have to stick with the luffa like in the links since luffa is a vegetable

The loofah is what I have done in the past and I like the result with CP soap poured into my PVC mold. Now wanted to try as you said placing the sponge down in the bar after pouring into individual molds.
Not even sure customers would like it or not. Hopefully someone has done this!
Thanks!!

I think it be pretty well embraced - luffa can be a little hard for some so a sea sponge is a good alternative for sensitive skin that needs less abrasiveness. But not a good idea for the vegans tho !!

is loofa and sea sponge not the same thing? i always thought it was but i know there are vegetable loofas. are there loofas from the sea also?
