I couldn't resist getting these fragrances today.

Lilac in Bloom
Mellon Ball
Lavender
Rainforest
Honeysuckle Hollow
Sandlewood Incense fragrance oil ( was listed as can use in CP and HP soaps)

Oh yes and I got Ultramarine Violet Pigment powder

does it work well for CP

Anyone ever used these from WSP

Hi :)

I know that ultramarine violet is not really reliable (I don't think the manufacturer matters much).
Best results if the soap base is not too yellow (turns brown easily).
Below my results to give you an impression:
i used a little too much, becuase the soap in the first pic has a real pink lather :(
The second soap lathers white.

Thanks for posting those pics. I need more of a purple I guess LOL

Any suggestions what I can use to get a Lavender and purple color that is reliable.

I know the colors are the hard part....... that is why I only got one. :)

Rainforest EO blend smells really good. The scent did a disappearing/reappearing act when I soaped with it, so don't worry if the scent completely disappears when you add it to your soap. It didn't come back for me until a few days after cutting, though it's weaker than I expected. I wouldn't use less than a full oz ppo.

Thanks for that!

I just got 2 oz of each as I figured 1 oz ppo was about right. I make my soaps in 2 lbish size LOL 42 oz oils makes 12 bars for me. It is actually more like a 2.5 lb mold but I figured 2 oz would be good to start with to see if I like the scents or not.

What size batches do you do when testing. I am new and all mine are this size til I get the hang of it. LOL

Hi Val,

To get a "lavender" like colour you could mix ultramarine blue with the violet that you just bought (start with the blue and add a tip of violet)
If you dont use too much colour in totall you might end up with a nice pastel colour.

OH! Thank you so much for that I have been looking for a good purple colorant...... just went to the HFS and she is going to order me some alkanet root to try out.
