The other day I saved my seized soap (looked like ham to me) via the oven. I kinda liked the effect and thought that one day I may try to do it again. I had no idea I would have to repeat the oven save the very next day.

My soap did not seize but rather just the opposite. Was way too soft so I decided to chop it up and pop it in the oven. To my surprize this time it looks even more like processed meat than the last.

Can you say SPAM...

Maybe you should TRY to make one that looks like ham or deli meat. Then it would turn out exactly as you initially imagined. ;)

No then it woud probably turn out looking like pimento cheese.

I think I have you beat on the meat soap!

I got too picky with my whipped pear coloring and decided to re-batch it like I did the purple and blue grapefruit whipped soap. I should have just left well enough alone....

It doesn't look quite so bad in person, and it does smell amazing. Rotten meatloaf soap? Yeah, I think so,

I love unusual soaps and that is one crazy looking batch of soap. I love the splash of green in you have in there.

And the winner of the 2011 Meat Loaf Soap pageant goes to...... ADOPTAPITBULL!!!!! YAY!!!!!

Oh no, we need more contestants for the meat soap competition!!

I'm sure everyone else has some! Come on, don't be embarrassed. Show us your meat!

That would be great! I would love to see other people entries too. Right now though, you've got a winner. :)

adoptapitbull - it looks like hog's head cheese to me. LOL!! This is a great thread. Maybe I'll try to make one that looks like a meatloaf!!

love the colors...

I see that you just recently started your blog. How are you selling the soaps you have pictured?

I have not started selling yet. I have them out to testers as free samples and so far no negative feedback about the soap. However, two said the coffee grounds in the vanilla are too harsh on their skin. I will leave them out of my real batch.

I am not a very good photographer...lol

Are you using un-brewed coffee grounds? I actually used the grounds that the coffee was brewed with and no complaints. However, it's not a soap I'd want to wash my body with, only hands.

My entry for the meaty soap competition!

I decided to try soaping with the water from cooking rice - why? - I have no idea, except that I love to experiment with my soaping.
It actually came out looking ricey, but also like the dreaded Spam.

Yup the coffee grounds were used and air dried. I didn't grind any more and added about 2 tsp for a 2lb batch of HP.

I suggested they use a facecloth if the grinds were too abrasive...

I am loving all the meat soap... lol

Great meat soap entry, thanks! So that is what rice water does to soap. Who knew...
