If you followed the formula in your lye calculator and you had trace, it was already beginning to saponify, so, yes. As to whether it will gel or not, maybe not, but that's not essential. If it doesn't gel, it will just take longer to finish the process, but the soap will still be soap.
 
Thx all for the comments. Wish the articles recommending 100% CO 20% SF soap were scrubbed from the internet. It makes a vile bar (or 9 in my case) of soap. Moving fwd, Im following “the rules!” Hope to report bk with succees soon.

BTW, I live in major city. What kind of store sells cheap almond oil? Im having difficulty finding it. We dont have the old hippy health food stores anymore. Miss them.
Not knowing how much you want and if you get out to Riverside, you can get SAO at Cibaria for $45 a gallon. https://www.cibariasoapsupply.com/shop/almond-oil-sweet-7-lbs.html. I make a run to Cibaria a approx 3 times a year to stock oils. It is the most cost effective for me.
