hi everyone
well its been about 6 weeks tried soap made on 8/8/09 wife and my partner in crime , my youngest daughter like it but might be to cleansing i think. they say it makes thier skin to squeaky clean. you can see the dirt & grease flow off my work hands. but i think they mean it needs conditioner my recipe was

21 oz olive oil
11 oz coconut oil
@ 115 degrees add
12 oz distiled water
4.8 0z lye
lye solution was 117 degrees
at trace added
2 oz castor oil
2 oz fragrance oil
& some color
 
have more supplies

what im asking is how would this work

20 olive oil
10 coconut oil
2 castor oil
add in
12 water
4.8 lye
@ trace
2 oz shea butter
2 oz fragrance & some color
also i have jojoba oil saflower oil & palm oil if that would be better we want to retry tonight if i could get some help i like getting it right hate mistakes i know thats part of it just hard for me thats why i waited go long to try again

color

the color came from micheals hobby shop it was in the mp soap section some kind of dark burgandy used half of bottle small plastic botttle prob half ounce

been playing with soapcalc

been playing with soapcalc creamy stays bout same but bubbly drops to get conditioning should that bother me
 
id use you palm oil, with coc and olive and shea, it makes and awesome bar.
 
castor

heres what i came up with what do you think
13 oz. olive oil
9 oz. palm oil
5 oz. coconut oil
3 oz. castor oil
2 oz. shea butter
will add 1 oz. ppo of fo
 
looks ok, your bubbly is only 19, creamy is good
if you did this it would up the number of bubbly to 26

thanks honor will try that but tbe reason i laid off on the co was when wife and daughter used soap it was they said "to sweaky clean".i thought it was fine cus very cleansing . ill give this a try just hate the wait for cure after kills me
 
For someone who is coconut sensitive like me, drop the CO to 20% and put 5% shea butter in there.

those both look awsome 1 for me 1 for the ladies in the house which one do i make hmmm guese ill do them both :lol:
