rancid oil

I have several pounds of old oil, some definately rancid and others borderline. It has been about six years since I made any cp and I want to start again. My question is, has any one ever salvaged rancid oil, if so, how did you do this? I really hate to throw it all out, especially with the cost of oil today, but I am planning of giving soap to family and coworkers as Christmas gifts. Any ideas welcome, TIA

I don't think you should chance it. At the very least, the soap will smell like the rancid oil and overwhelm your fragrance. You would most likely get DOS as well. What a bummer....oils are so expensive and getting more so.
