Question about diaper cream... Please help!

Essential oils are not preservatives. I looked at the studies from the above post and none of the studies used oil &water as a test base so the information isn't relevant for cosmetic formulations. I haven't used honey powder but hopefully someone will be able to give you info on it. :)
 
skinedip there are a lot of people out there that will try to convince you that you don't need preservatives and that essential oils will replace them. Oh how I wish it were true, but it's not. Yes essential oils have antibacterial, antibiotic, antifungal and anti- so many other things, but they were never meant to be used that way. Essential oils are over the counter meds. We have started to use them to fragrance product but we need to be careful there because they are therapeutic in their very nature which means they affect the body.

Thank you for having the common sense to come on this board, or any really, to find out what went wrong and why.

Sorry for the thread jack, but where in the US can one submit a lotion (or other product) to be challenge tested? And anyone have an idea of a ballpark cost? TIA
