Well, I bought this soap in order to see the quality & am a little disappointed.
It is an end cut which I would normally not consider good enough for sale, and the top has ash, again a no no with me. Yet it is being sold as an acceptable piece of merchandise.

it does look sloppy in terms of the packaging and cut.

regarding ash - unless it's thick and thus soft and sticky, I actually "embrace" the ash on my soap logs. the look can be quite interesting.

If ill-formed pieces were sold in bulk and at a lesser price, being of the same quality of soap, I'd buy "remnants".

Otherwise, that one is not something I would buy at full price.

I use the odd-looking pieces myself, they aren't offered to others.

ETA: Carebear, I looked too quickly to notice the ash.

I don't care for the look of ash, and don't offer it to others. I know it isn't harmful, but I always wash it off.

I am really new at the soapmaking and selling process. But when I think of how I want the impression to be made of my products, selling ends would not be something I would even consider.

One thing I will say. If the person selling this soap continues in this pattern, they will not have repeat customers.

I guess the best you can hope for is that the soap is moisturizing and long lasting. I would not be happy to have paid $$$$ for that.

Well, I'm pretty new at all of this, but I certainly wouldn't offer a piece like that for sale! Probably not even as a sample, unless it was to someone I know well. That would stay at home in my soapdish.

Well I know that "pride goeth before a fall", but I would not be proud to sell something like that. My logs are all 2 cm longer than I need so that I can trim the ends off before slicing into bars I would not be ashamed of selling.

Oh, it looks a little messy and like fried tofu slice for me

ha ha - fried tofu! Very good.
I thought it looked as if it had been lying about in rancid water for a mont and then been dried off and popped in an envelope

Grumble, grumble....

Another thing, if the soap is still soft you cannot even be sure how long it has cured.

I would not dream of selling soft soap.

Definitely seems like an irresponsible newbie at work.

Nasty! I'd be wanting my money back.

I don't think I'd even want to try the soap, as anyone offering "that" for sale is clearly not fussy enough to spend much time getting the recipes perfect and safe. (That is only my perception after looking at the bar of soap and of course, I may be completely wrong.)

Ash can sometimes be quite pretty (not in this case) and it doesn't really worry me, but the rest of it is pretty yukky looking. I'd be complaining too.

How was it packaged, i dont see that in pic? i i usually dont sell end pieces, she didnt trim it up nice at all, bas business.
