I'm looking for ways to promote my website & increase visitor numbers, and I was wondering if placing links in free craft directories would be a good idea?

Can anyone recommend good sites to put links on?

I've had good success with links here (in my sig), my blog and now facebook.

Yeah its a good way to get traffic to your website.

There are a number of other ways to promote traffic to your site, Google SEO (search engine optimization) Loooooads of info out there... also research "do-follow" forums for link building.
