Maybe put a heating pad under it and then wrap with towels ?

hmmm. never thought of that? do people mostly do cp in a log mold, or just not gel there cute molds?

cover with a sheet of plastic wrap, then a piece of cardboard perfectly cut to match the soaps dimensions... place on top of plastic wrap... then wrap a towel or two around it and put it in your oven, (with now heat on)... the oven willl help to retain the heat for the soap!

either that or maybe soap in direct sunlight!?!?! 8)

thanks i will try that.

:) no worries...

Also if that mold keeps giving you trouble... I have been using a cardboard box lined with wax paper and/or plastic wrap... I seal the edges with tape so no leaks and i cut a small piece of carboard for the middle so the two flaps dont indent into the soap (i kind of just slide it into the extra space in the middle of the two folded-in flaps).

Used those more than any so far.. and theyre disposable...yet reusable! :)

I use styrofoam lined boxes to keep my fish insulated from the cold weather when they're shipped, would a version of that work for soaps? All you do is cut styrofoam panels to fit the sides of the box, along with one to serve as a lid, and you place a small heat pack in the box with the bagged fish.

This is a really small box for a single fish, sans lid, but you get the idea:

And this is the wrapper for one of the heat packs:

The heat packs don't get terribly hot, but they might be enough to do the trick here, and the styro sheets do a really good job of insulating the contents of the box. WalMart even sells a version of the heat packs in their camping and hunting supply section, they're sold as hand warmers and not fish-specific, but they work just as well.

Hmm, now I'm going to have to try out one of the little half-egg silicone molds in a fish box, see what it does.
