Hi artisan
I have a green tea peppermint bar from about 6 months ago it is fine and a
calendula bastile from about 5 months ago that is fine too..

I think calendula is the only flower petal that will retain its colour that's why it's so widely used.
Everything else ends up brown. Believe me I know.

lol ya," i was told there are bugs in the tub" after one of my friends used it, but i must say the lavender bud soap is one of the most popular with my friends and family.

I've read that Calendula petals retain their colour in CP soap - but can anyone tell me how long for?

And are there any other flower petals / herbs that maintain their colour long term, 3 months plus?

What about citrus rind? bee pollen?

I'm going to start experimenting with things myself but it would be great to hear if anyone else already has - would save me some time and ingredients if I knew what definitely doesn't work

Hi! I have made a castille batch with grated bitter orange peel added at light trace. 3 months have passed and the soaps retain the orange-yellow grains of the grated peel. It's a nice appearance.
