Palm is in Whole Foods and other health food stores. Watch out cause there is unrefined palm which is orange/yellow (makes marvelous yellow soap, but that's not necessarily what you want). I have bought Spectrum brand. It's in a tub and on the bottom shelf by the oils - it's an alternative to Crisco I guess.
I buy lard in the grocery store - it's about $1.12 for a pound right now but that varies by location. It can be hard to locate because it doesn't need to be refrigerated different grocery stores stock it in different areas - don't be afraid to ask. It might be by the meat, by the dairy, by the bread (I swear, that's where it is in MY store) or god knows where. The folks in the meat area should be able to tell you. Armour is the brand - green and white packaging - might also say Manteca which is Spanish for lard.
