Not sure what to expect first batch of cold processed soap

Hi everyone...I made my first batch of cold processed soap with olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter some oatmeal and herbs.... i used no line molds and the batch came out great poured it in the molds...covered it with saran wrap then a towel. Didn't peak for 24 hours as they suggested then after two days tried to get out of mold couldn't had to cut it out...i guess you really have to line the no line molds :LOL: the soap looks nice what i can salvage but it is soft like fudge...will it harden up? it was mostly olive oil at 30 oz for a 4.5 lb batch ... i'm not sure what to expect any help or suggestions...

Thank you ...

Almond Oil 2 oz
Cocoa Butter 2 oz
Coconut Oil 10 oz
Olive Oil 30 oz
Palm Oil 6 oz

Total Weight = 50 oz of fat

Lye = 6.85

Water = 16.5 oz

fragrance 1/2 ounce of peppermint

5% super fatted

At trace mix:

Peppermint
oatmeal

Makes around 4.5 lbs of soap

i used green tea as my liquid..it made a beautiful bar....just feels kind of soft like judge or playdoh still i made it on thursday i believe

i cut the bars and it is hardening on the outside..the inside is sort that of cookie dough...i am use to melt and pour soap that overnight its done..maybe i am expecting too much with the cold process soap..i wanted everything to be perfect..this is a picture after i poured the soap...

Recipes with that much olive oil can take a good amount of time to harden. They will get nice and hard, but it takes a while. It's pretty normal in my limited experience for them to harden from the ouside in. Just keep turning them a few times a week and make sure they have good circulation around them for air.

Yeah- probably the olive oil. It takes longer to firm up but when it does, it makes for a hard bar of soap. Some people cure soap with high olive for as long as 6-8 weeks if not longer.

I am still very new to all of this. Almost all the recipes I have created have EVOO in them. What do you all consider a high % to where they would need to cure longer than say 4 weeks?
