Greetings all you master soapmakers. I'm a monk (Orthodox Christian) and have been soaping on and off for 9 years or so. I love experimenting with textures, colors, recipes and fragrances. We use FO's and EO's, natural pigments, pigments that are man-made (or what I like to call "nature-identical," to use a German-ism). Recently I've branched out into soleseife and castile soap (combining the two methods into a castile with 5% salt in the lye water.
I've often browsed the forum for answers to questions throughout the years. I think i had joined once upon a time when I was true newbie, but last all account information so. It's nice help support my community with the work of my hands. I'm a science hack and an art hack, so soaping is right up the alley!
